The short answer: The next BTO launch is in November 2026 (about 7,960 flats). After that, HDB has confirmed a February 2027 sales exercise, the first with an extra ballot chance for each child of first-timer families. No 2027 launch dates, towns or project list have been announced; only the 2025–2027 target of about 55,000 flats.

When is the next BTO launch?
The next sales exercise is November 2026. MND moved it from October so that households newly eligible under the S$16,000 income ceiling could get their HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letters in time (MND; PropertyGuru, 17 Sep 2026). No exact date has been announced. We cover the seven projects, flat types and classifications in our November 2026 BTO launch guide.
The first exercise of 2027 is in February 2027. HDB's MyNiceHome guide refers to the "Feb 2027 sales launch" as the start date for the new ballot chances for families with children (MyNiceHome, updated 23 August 2026). HDB has not given a date, a flat count or the projects for it.

How many BTO flats will be launched in 2027?
HDB has not published a 2027 figure. The official number is the three-year target of about 55,000 flats for 2025 to 2027. Subtracting what has been launched or announced gives a rough guide:

This is a floor, not a forecast. Stacked Homes (8 January 2026) reported that the Government may launch more than 15,600 BTO flats in 2027 if strong demand persists, and Mr Chee has since said HDB is likely to exceed the 55,000 target. Until HDB publishes its 2027 plan, treat any single 2027 total you see online as an estimate.
Of the 2027 flats, about 4,000 are due to be Shorter Waiting Time flats, with waits of under three years, according to Mr Chee.
How many BTO exercises will there be in 2027?
HDB has not said. The only 2027 exercise officially referenced so far is February 2027.
For comparison, HDB planned 2026 as three exercises, in February, June and October (Mothership). The third was later moved to November. Some websites list a four-exercise 2027 calendar (February, May, August, November); we have found no HDB or MND source for it, so we do not use it.
Which BTO projects are confirmed for 2027?
None. HDB has not named any project or town for a 2027 exercise.
One officially announced project has no launch date yet: the Pearl's Hill BTO near Outram Park MRT, unveiled on 4 March 2026. It will stand more than 60 storeys and have about 1,700 2-room Flexi, 3-room and 4-room flats plus over 140 public rental flats (Stacked Homes). The Straits Times reported in May 2026 that it "will be launched in the next few years" (The Straits Times). It is not confirmed for 2027, and its classification has not been announced.
What changes for families with children from February 2027?
From the February 2027 sales launch, first-timer families with, or expecting, children will "receive 1 additional ballot chance for each Singapore Citizen child" aged 18 and below (MyNiceHome).

The change was announced at the National Day Rally on 23 August 2026: "the more children you have, the more ballot chances you will receive" (PMO). It adds to the priority first-timer families already have. Separately, first-timer families who have been unsuccessful in two or more earlier BTO applications for Standard flats already get one additional ballot chance for each later application for Standard flats, capped at five chances in total (MyNiceHome).
How does the November 2026 exercise fit in?
November 2026 is the last of the three 2026 exercises and completes HDB's plan of about 19,600 flats for the year:

For buyers, the choice between November 2026 and February 2027 comes down to three facts:
- Ballot chances. A first-timer family with children gets the extra per-child chances only from February 2027.
- Projects. November's seven projects are known (our guide); February 2027's are not.
- Eligibility. The S$16,000 monthly household income ceiling for families applies to HFE letter applications from 24 August 2026 and will apply to both exercises unless HDB changes it.

How should you prepare for a 2027 BTO launch?
- Get your HFE letter. You need a valid HFE letter to apply. Our November 2026 guide explains how it works and how long it takes. If you get one for November and are unsuccessful, check whether it is still valid for February 2027.
- Check your ballot chances. If you are a first-timer family with Singapore Citizen children aged 18 and below, or are expecting, count your extra chances from February 2027.
- Watch for HDB's 2027 announcement. For 2026, HDB set out the year's supply and towns in January. Classification (Standard, Plus or Prime), prices and subsidy recovery rates come only at each launch.
